1Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or otherwise using csdash you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2What csdash is
csdash is a free personal course, grade and exam tracker. It's an independent hobby project run by one person, not a company product, and it is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any university.
3Your account
- Give a real email address that you control. We send a 6-digit code to it and you must enter that code before you can use the app.
- Accounts that are never verified are removed after 24 hours.
- Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us if you think someone else has got into it.
- Requesting verification codes is limited. Asking for too many locks that account out of requesting more for 24 hours.
4Acceptable use
Use csdash lawfully and fairly. Please don't:
- try to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts or other people's data;
- use scripts or bots to send large numbers of requests. Automatic rate limits apply and may temporarily block an account or a network address;
- use the service to store or share unlawful or abusive content.
5Your data stays yours
The courses, grades and dates you enter belong to you. You give us permission only to store and process them to run the service for you. We don't sell them, share them for advertising or use them for anything else. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
6Getting a copy of your data, deleting your account, resetting your password
You can ask for any of the following by emailing [email protected] from the email address on your account:
- A copy of your data. We send you a file with everything we hold about your account.
- Deletion of your account. We permanently delete it together with your courses, items, exams and the security and email records linked to it. This can't be undone.
- A password reset. If you're locked out, we send a temporary password to your account email address, and you should change it after you sign in.
These are handled by email for now. They are not yet available from inside the app; buttons for them are planned. See the Privacy Policy for details.
7Suspension and ending your use
You can stop using csdash at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or disable an account that abuses the service, puts it or other users at risk, or breaks these terms.
8Availability and changes to the service
csdash is run in personal time. We aim to keep it available and your data safe, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, and we may change, pause or end features. Keep your own record of anything important.
9No warranty and limits of liability
csdash is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Grade calculations are a convenience and are not your official academic record; always check them against your university. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as a missed deadline or an incorrect grade estimate. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot legally be limited.
10Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the project evolves. When we do, we change the "last updated" date above, and for meaningful changes we'll also email the address on your account.
